Ms. Mary Lou Williams, 86
Ms. Mary Lou Williams, 86, 210 Dawkins Rd. Blair, SC departed this life on
April 24, 2015.She is survived by her children: Desmond and Nicole Williams of
Bronx NY, David (Rosalyn) Williams, of the home and seven grandchildren. A memorial
Service will be held Thursday April 30, 2015 at Spiritual Way Church of Christ,
2083 Syrup Mill Rd of Ridgeway SC. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the
Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home.
Mrs.Lilly Mae Douglas, 80
Lilly Mae
Wadlington, better known to most as Mae was born May 19, 1934, in Blair,
S.C. On April 21, 2015, God wrapped his arms around Mae and lifted her to rest
from the Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI. leaving an unfillable void in many
lives.
Lilly Mae
Wadlington,was born to the late Ruben Eddie Martin and Mary Jane (Boykin)Morgan. She attended the Fairfield County Public
School System and accepted Christ at an early age at The Gethsemane Baptist
Church in Blair, SC. Lilly enjoyed speaking about happy childhood memories with
her siblings, Sadie Robinson (preceded her in death), Morris Morgan and cousin,
Thomas Wadlington (preceded her in death).
In 1951 Lilly Mae Douglas
married Robert Lee Douglas (preceded her death) in South Carolina and 4
children were born to this union, Mattie, Blossom, Robert Jr. (preceded her in
death), and Elbert. In 1952 Robert migrated to Detroit, Mi for employment
opportunities where Lilly later followed. From this union Lilly accepted and
became a part of an extended new family and created special bonds with, Lillie
Mae Wallington, Willie and Laura Young, Celeste and Ira Goodwin, Eddie Mae
Walton and a host of other family members.
A consummate mother and homemaker, Lilly was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her
family and friends. She enjoyed spending
time with her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed shopping. She was well known for her beautiful suits and
hats. Lilly was an advocate and supporter of her Woodbridge Community where she
lived, serving on the Woodbridge Counsel and volunteering at the 3rd
Precinct Police department for many years, where she met and made incredible
friends (Rudell, Mary, Mr. Crume and Bill Sledge). Lilly also enjoyed playing
cards with her family and close friends (Mary). Lilly mostly enjoyed traveling
back to her hometown of Blair, SC. Whenever the opportunity presented.
Lilly Douglas leaves to cherish in loving memories, 3 children
Mattie Begley of Milan, Mi. Blossom (Joys) King, Elbert (Denise) Douglas both
of Detroit, Mi. and daughter in law Patricia Douglas of Detroit, Mi.One Brother
Morris (Connie) Morgan of Columbia, S.C ,One sister Eddie Mae Wilson of
Jenkinsville, S.C., One sister in law Floree Rickets of Philadelphia, P.A. One
Aunt Catherine Mills of Jenkinsville, S.C.,20 Grandchildren, 35 great
grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday May 1, 2015 at 2:00pm Gethsemane Baptist Church. Visitation Will be Thursday April 30, 2015 from 12-7pm at Russell McCutchen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cora Lee Adams 83, 338 South All Rd. W. Cola died Mon. April
6, 2015.She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted niece and caregiver Portia
Seibles and “Her Boys” Vershawn Foster, Tymetruis Kelly and Daric Peay Jr. 1 grandson:
Michael Jones: 4 great-grands.1 sister Mary L. Harris: 2 brothers: Joe L.
Robinson, and John H. Robinson. A special niece Denise Kennedy, and a special nephew John Robinson. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives
and friends. Funeral Services will be held Fri. April 10, 2015 @ 2:00pm (1:00pm
viewing) at Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held

Thelma M. Reid, 44, 74
Chinook Dr. Blair, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday April 3, 2015 at
Levine and Dickson Hospice Center, Huntersville, NC. She bid this earthly life farewell to start
her heavenly journey. She was born in
Fairfield County on Oct. 3, 1970; she was the daughter of Mr. Jessie Woodward
and the late Jessie M. Feaster. She was a member of Hassion Hill Baptist
Church. She was educated in the public
schools of Fairfield County and graduated from Fairfield Central High School.
Celebrating the victory of life over death are Thelma’s father, Jessie; three
sisters, Bobbie Feaster, Jerrie (Willie) Charles, both of Blair, SC; and Jessie
(Marcus) Wilson, of Jackson, Mississippi, five Aunts; Cora Feaster, Ruby
Jackson, Dorothy Hopkins, Bessie Feaster, and Mattie Feaster; two uncles; Glenn
Woodard, and Clarence Robinson, and a
host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will
be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00PM (1:00PM viewing) at the Hassion Hill
Baptist Church, Blair, SC. Visitation
and viewing will be Wednesday, April 8th 1:00pm until 8:00pm at the
Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home.
