Ms. Catherine graduated from the Fairfield County School System
and worked with the Fairfield County Council on Aging until her retirement.
Being a compassionate advocate and caregiver, she couldn’t wait to return to
work once her 90 day waiting period had expired. She loved working, her
clients, and was faithfully back to work once the 90 days were up.
Born unto the late Rosa Davis Stevenson, she is preceded in
death by her mother, stepfather Charlie Stevenson, sister Rosetta Stevenson Sampson,
and sons Stanley Bernard Davis Sr. and Jeffrey Wayne Davis, Sr. She leaves to
carry on her legacy seven children: sons William Robert Davis, Demond Jason
Davis, DeJuan Mason Davis of Winnsboro, SC, and Vincent (Maggie) Davis,
Sr. of Elgin, SC. The three daughters are: Susan (George) Evans and
Sharon(Elroy) Jones of Winnsboro, SC and Eliza Davis of Columbia, SC. In
addition to her children, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren are left
to honor her memory. A host of loving relatives and friends remain, giving
special praise to nieces Cathy Sampson and Georgetta Sampson Brown acting as
caregivers during her declining health.
A very special thanks is bestowed upon
the Winnsboro Active Day Center of Winnsboro, SC and Caring Neighbors Home
Health Agency and RN Heather Shaw for her loving care.
