Mr. Willie James Jeter 31, passed away on Wednesday, February
19, in Atlanta GA. He was born in Columbia SC on May 7, 1982, to Shirley and
Richard Jeter. He graduated from Olympia Learning Center in 2002. He attended
the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2003. He was a proud member of the artistic
community and could frequently be found displaying his art throughout the city
of Atlanta. He will be forever loved by many. His desire for art and belief in God
was his drive to succeed. He never stopped believing in himself, even when
other cast stones upon him. His health never stopped him from wanting to pursue
his dream. He once said “DON’T JUST PRAY 2 TAKE THE PAIN AWAY…. PRAY 2 LET GOD
KNOW HOW WONDEROUS HE IS…. HOW AMAZING, HOW BLESSED U R BECAUSE OF HIM. LET HIM
KNOW U R ONE OF HIS CHILDREN, & NOTHING CAN TAKE HIS GLORY FROM YOUR SOUL”.
Willie considered himself “MORE THAN AN ARTIST”. He was determined to follow
Christ and live through his words.
Willie is survived by his parents, four sisters: Jennifer, Tashia, Stephanie and Vicky Jeter.
Four nephews: Miguel, O’nae Jackson, Tyler Jeter, Jackson Howard. One Niece; Dashia Jackson. A very special friend Tashana
Peace, and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins that loved him dearly. He was
preceded in death by a brother; Mr. Richard Jeter Jr. and foster mother Mary
Green.
