Mrs. Ethel Bell McCrorey-Sanders, 92



Ms. Ethel Bell McCrorey-Sanders was born on January 13, 1923.  She was the second child of eight (8) born to the late Willie Henry and Carrie Alice McDaniel-McCrorey in Winnsboro, SC.  She transitioned form her earthly life to eternal life with Christ on September 21, 2015.

Ethel Bell was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County.

Ethel Bell was preceded in death by:  her siblings, Lonnie, Walter, Willie (Bill), Wardell, Bertha, Betty, and Johnnie Mae McCrorey.

Ethel Bell was married to the late John Sanders.  She had eleven (11) children and she was preceded in death by one son, Willie Frank Sanders.

Those left to grieve her passing and celebrate her home going are eight (8) daughter:  Sara (late Willie Henry) Moore, Margaret (Preston) Hall, Mae Travis “Tink” (Joe) Sanders, Patricia (Mary) Mobley, Christine (Theodore) Moore, Linda (Shakoor) Bay, Thomasine (Bo) Sawyer, Yvette (John) Backstrom; two (2) sons, Ernest “Red” (Mary) Sanders, Lavern (Brenda) Boone; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Addison-Sanders; 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 29  great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a devoted friend, Lawrence Brown.
Funeral services will be 1:00 (12 noon viewing) Thursday October 1, 2015 at Bethesda AME Zion Church of Winnsboro SC with burial at Old Gladden Grove Cemetery, Great Falls SC.

Mrs. Mary Daniels, 59

Mrs. Mary J. Daniels, 59, of Winnsboro, SC died September 4, 2015 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  She was born on September 14, 1955, Winnsboro, SC. And was retired from SC Department of Mental Health.  She is survived by her husband, Sylvester Daniels of the home and Daughters: Ms. Tashaba Daniels, Winnsboro, SC and Mrs. Sylvetta (Carlos) Thompson, Columbia, SC, Son; Mr. Carlos Thompson. Grandchildren;  Isaiah, Carlos, Makayla, Tanaya, Farrah, and Nicolas. Brothers, and Sisters,  and many  other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00pm (1:00pm Viewing) at St. Matthew First Baptist Church Winnsboro SC, with interment in the Church cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 1:00pm till 7:00pm at the Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, Winnsboro, SC.  The Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home is serving the Daniels Family. Mr. Dolphus D. Thompson Sr., 77

Dolphus Damon Thompson, Sr. was born October 8, 1937 to the late Ida (Hopkins) and Bleach Thompson.  He attend McCrory-Liston public schools and enlisted in The United States Army. He served three years during the Korean War from 1955 to 1958, where he was honorably discharged.

Dolphus moved to Columbus, Ohio where he met and married Alethia Berry and they had six children.  During the army, his military training did prepare him to work for various manufacturers. Some of the jobs he worked, included an industrial crane operator as well as a bakers assistant; but mostly he was a professional presser for the Hopkin's family's dry cleaning business.      

Dolphus was preceded in death by one son: Micros Thompson, four sisters: Shirley, Willie B., Doris & Helen, and two brothers: Jerome and O'Bear. He is survived by 6 children: Deirdre, Deborah (Bostick), Dolphus Jr., John, Christopher, and Ebony Johnson. Also three sisters: Mary Ruth (Lewis), Essie (Goodwin), and Nancy "Tillie" (Hall), grandchildren, great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 The funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Blair, SC. Interment will be in the Thompson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday September 4, 2015 from 12pm  til 6pm at The Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home. Professional Services entrusted to Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home.
