Mr. Otto Martin,77

Mr. Otto Martin was born June 30, 1939 to the late Moses and Kitty Lee Martin. He was educated in the Fairfield County School System and later became self employed along with his brother and partner in Martin Brothers Logging Company. He worked in this occupation until his retirement. Mr. Martin was a faithful member at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he regularly attended Bible study and Sunday School, and served as a Deacon for many years. He also enjoyed working outdoors and working with his hands.  
Otto Martin leaves a legacy and beautiful memories to be cherished by his wife; Irene Martin, one daughter; Georgetta Alston of Columbia SC, two grandchildren; Martin Elgin Sr., and Shemika Alston of Winnsboro SC, five great grandchildren; Alaysha Culp, Makiya Culp, Damarea Byrd, Marlin Elgin Jr., and Jordan Elgin all of Winnsboro Sc. One sister; Evelyn (Jeff) Himes of Irmo SC, four brothers; Clyde Martin, Henry (Minnie) Martin, Frank Martin and Heyward (Georgetta) Martin all of Winnsboro SC, and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
Otto is preceded in death by his brothers; Fedward and Leon Martin, one sister- in- law; Dorothy "Dot" Martin.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday November 29, 2016 @ Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday November 28, 2016 @Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.

Mr. Rodney T. Henderson was born April 22, 1987 in Columbia SC. He was the son of Mr. James Skinner and the late Ms. Norma Jean Henderson. Mr. Henderson departed his life on November 15, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.
He was educated in Fairfield County Schools class of 2005. Rodney was employed at Green Acres Logging Company. His job was important to him and he took pride in his work. Rodney was well known and kept everyone laughing.
Mr. Henderson leaves to cherish his memories his father and children: Mr. James Skinner and two sons: Rodney Jr. and Tristan Henderson, two daughters: Bre Bre Henderson and Melanie Skinner. One sisters: Jessica Skinner, aunts: Peggy Springer, Sheryl Harris, Ernestine Henderson- Shellman, uncles: Leon and Billy Scott, Antwain Grady, James Henderson, and a devoted girlfriend: Sherry Knox and a host of other loving relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.

Mr. Baylus Young, 72

Mr. Baylus (Sam) Young was born April 12, 1944 in Winnsboro SC. The youngest son of George and Lillie Ruff Young. Mr. Young departed this life on November 7, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richand Hospital. Baylus was a member of County Grove Baptist Church. He  re-dedicated his life to the Lord sometime ago. Mr. Young was a graduate of McCrorey Liston High School, class of 1963. Baylus was a licensed barber who worked two jobs to help support his family. He was employed with Columbia Supply Company as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing. Mr. Young leaves to cherish his memories his son: Baylus S. (Loretta) Irby of Baltimore MD, one daughter: Tiffany Harrison of Lancaster SC. Granddaughter: Monique Irby of Baltimore MD. Two sisters: Albertha Johnson and Easter Young-Myers (Rev. Lewis Myers) both of Winnsboro SC. One brother: George Young of Columbia SC. one brother in-law: Louis Kennedy, one sister in-law: Annie Bell Turner of Winnsboro SC, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his wife: Gloria S. Young, three sisters: Viola Copeland, Annie M. Kennedy, Mary Young and brother Joseph Turner. A special thanks to his devoted sisters: Albertha Johnson, Easter Y. Myers, three neices: Lillie P. Adams (Sis), Floydia J.McGraw (Tee), Ella J. Seibles (Weese), and a friend Ronald Tillman for going above and beyond in giving of their time and love. In 1980 she joined Military Sea lift Command.  Quickly she rose to the rank of Chief Steward.  In 2000 she retired.  After retiring she became a foster parent.  As a foster parent, she provided nurturing and love to many children in the environment of her Christian home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lindon Chambers and sister Hattie Sims, brothers Simon Davis, John Henry Davis, Thomas Davis, Joseph Davis and Osmond Davis.

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Davis Chambers lived a life characterized by a strong faith in God.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who in love, will continue to cherish fond memories shared with her in life.

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Davis, was born Oct 19, 1944 to Simon Davis and Irene Davis.  She attended Fairfield County School in Winnsboro, SC.  As a believer in education, she went to The Culinary Institute of America in New York City where she pursued her professional education.

Ms. T'eria Shantez Squirewell, 31

T'eria Shantez Squirewell, affectionately known to family and friends as Tee, was born September 1, 1985 in Winnsboro, SC to Sylvia Squirewell and Tracye Tape. She departed this earthly life on October 8, 2016.
T'eria was loving to everybody she met, but most of all a devoted mother. She was a people person that never met a stranger. She was the true definition of  " life of the party."
T'eria attended School in Fairfield County before moving to Lancaster, SC in 1999. She enjoyed going to church. She was baptized and then became a member at Fairview Independent Church.
 T'eria leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son: Kaden Diggs of Ridgeway SC, her parents: Sylvia Squirewell and Tracye Tape both of Lancaster  SC, two sisters: Jameka (Devin) Talford of Great Falls SC and Liesha Squirewell of Lancaster SC, one brother: Deon Squirwell of Lancaster, SC. Grandmothers: Rosetta Squirewell of Ridgeway, SC, and Margaree Tape of Winnsboro SC. Two devoted friends: Princess Mitchell and Meredith Oswald, also a very devoted cousin: Sabrina Belton.

Mr. Kenneth Quintay Patterson, 29

Mr. Kenneth (Quintay) Patterson was born on November 8, 1986 in Lancaster County, South Carolina.  He departed this life on Friday August 19, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Winnsboro, SC. He was the son of the late Sally Ann Patterson who preceded him in death.
He gave his life to Christ at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Winnsboro, SC where he attended in his early years with his mother and sibling.
Kenneth was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County in Winnsboro, SC. While attending school as a child he loved playing baseball with the Fairfield Recreation Center during the summer. He was a proud Griffin of the class of 2006.
After high school he became employed at Martin Marietta as a truck driver until his health would not allow him to continue working. Kenneth loved spending his days outside and attempting to cook for his family. He enjoyed restoring old automobiles, spending time with his family and being the leader of all his cousins.
Although Quintay was not a biological father, he had a special place in his heart for his special friend children. He enjoyed spending time with Fat, Treyvus and DT cooking, eating and hanging around outside in the yard. They had an unbreakable bond that only the love of God could have created.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charlie & Lucille Patterson, and two uncles, Charles & Isaiah Patterson.
Mr. Kenneth (Quintay) Patterson leaves to remember, cherish and rejoice in his legacy, his father Kiniuel (Kent) Pearson (Cynthia), one brother Jaquez Pearson, three sisters Iesha Patterson (Winnsboro, SC), Shaquanna Pearson and Lawrencia Furqan (Columbia, SC), One step- sister LaPrecious Johnson and one step-brother DeAngelo Johnoson, Grandparents Mr. Thomas & Mildred Pearson. Eight Aunts, three Uncles and a special friend Melresa (Shawn) Rodgers along with a host of loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Mrs. Ermene Canzater, 82


I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Ms. Ermene R. Canzater went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 17, 2016 at the National Health Care Facility on Parklane Rd. at the age of 82.
Born July 12, 1934 in Blythewood, SC to the late Wylie and Elizabeth Martin Robertson. She graduated from Bethel High School and was employed at Crafts Farrow State Hospital where she became the supervisor for laundry and supply, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.
Ermene joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age, she was a member of the Jubilee Choir and Missionary, remaining faithful until her health declined. She loved the Lord, her favorite pass time was singing gospel hymns. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her church family as well as gardening, canning, sewing and cooking. Two of her favorite things to eat were sweets and watermelon.
Ermene is survived by her two daughters; Mrs. Patricia A. Green (Larry), Ms. Lillie Ronetta McClendon, both of Blythewood, SC one son; Mr. Henry Levi Canzater (Tiffany) of Columbia, SC two god-daughters; Ms. Cynthia L. Hollis of Columbia, SC and Ms. Donna R. Donald of Ridgeway, SC one god-son; Mr. Michael E. Reed of Columbia, SC one daughter-in-law; Ms. Elizabeth Canzater of Ridgeway, SC one brother; Mr. Martin Robertson of San Bernardino, CA three sister-in-laws; Mrs. Catherine Jackson(Woodrow) of New York, Ms. Elease Taylor and Ms. Mary Washington both of Blythewood, SC brother-in law; Mr. John P. Lawhorn of Blythewood, SC. 9 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Special friends Ms. Frances Riley, Ms. Maggie Byrd and Mr. Jason Wages.
Thanks to the staff at Palmetto Hospice and the National Health Care Facility. A special thanks to Anita, Pandora and Vince.
She was preceded in her homegoing by her husband, Mr. Alfonso Canzater Sr. A son Mr. Alfonso Canzater Jr.

Mr. Willie Lee Ashford 83, was the son  of the late Rosa Lee Hall and Nathaniel Ashford.  Mr. Willie Lee Ashford was married to the late Emma Mae Ashford for 57 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. 
He accepted the Lord at a very young age and was a early member of Mt. Zion AME. He was educated in the Fairfield County School System. He was a self-employed carpenter and work until his health declined. He also worked for Fairfield County Recycling Center. He was loved by all that encountered him. 
Mr. Willie left to cherish beautiful memories four sons: Joe lewis Trapp of Salisbury NC, Willie Ashford Jr., Lonzell Ashford and Melvin (Ruby) Ashford all of Winnsboro SC. Three daughters: Emma Lee Ashford, Rosia (Charles) Gadson and Evelyn Ashford all of Winnsboro SC. He has twenty one grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
 He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Emma Mae Ashford and six brothers and two sisters.
 We are extremely grateful to Amedisys Hospice.

Mr. Chambers Harrison, 74

Mr. Chambers Harrison was called from labor to reward on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at Pruitt Health in Ridgeway SC. Chambers was born April 24, 1942 in Winnsboro SC to the late Nick and Gertrude R. Harrison.
 At an early age Chambers accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized at White Oak Baptist Church # 1 in Winnsboro SC. He was a 1960 graduate of Fairfield County Training School. Upon graduation he moved to Hartford CT, there he was employed with City Supply Paper Company. Chambers was an Army Veteran of Vietnam. After his tour of duty ended, he returned to Connecticut , there he was employed by the United States Postal Service.
 After his retirement, Chambers returned to Winnsboro SC and reunited with White Oak Baptist Church # 1, where served faithfully on the Trustee and Usher Boards, until his health began to fail. Chambers was the secretary of Flint Hill Lodge #236 .He also enjoyed working with Fairfield High Alumni Association. 
He is survived by five brothers: Thomas (Gloria) Harrison, Richard Harrison, Ulysses (Lisa) Harrison all of Winnsboro SC, and Rev. David Harrison of W. Columbia SC, Bobby (Anna) Harrison of Waterbury CT.
 Four sisters: Johnnie Mae Jackson, Minnie L. (Henry) Martin both of Winnsboro SC, Melvina H. Cotten of Columbia SC and Betty (James) Able Jr. of Ridgeway SC and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends whom will miss him dearly. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to White Oak Baptist Church #1, PO Box 1048 Winnsboro SC 29180 or Flint Hill Lodge #236, 148 Kodiak Dr. Winnsboro SC 29180.

Mr. Richard Jeter, 67

Mr. Richard Jeter, age 68, of Winnsboro SC, quietly departed this life on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Lexington hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. A native of Fairfield County, he was born on April 28, 1948 to the late Mammie and George Lee Jeter. He attended Kelly Miller public school and worked in the Plywood industries for many years. He enjoyed fishing and western movies. In addition to his late father and mother, he is preceded in death by his son, Willlie James Jeter, Brothers George Lee Jeter, Franklin Jeter, and Pete Jeter. He leaves to cherish his wife, Shirley Ann Jeter, special Friend Phyllis Jones; his daughters, Jennifer Jeter of Columbia, S.C., Tashia Jeter of Columbia, S.C., Stephanie Jeter of Charlotte N.C., & Vicky Jeter of New York; brothers James Jeter of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Willie Jeter of Florida, Lonzo, Thomas, Benjamin, Marvin, Leon (Priscilla),and Terelle (Brandy) Jeter of Winnsboro, S.C. and Eric (Sabrina) Jeter of Blythewood, S.C. His sisters Rosetta Jeter, Dorothy (Joseph) Foster, and Linda Foster of Winnsboro, S.C. Deacon Moses Able Sr. of Columbia was born on March 12, 1941.  He was the 7th of 8 children, born to the late William and Ada House Able of Ridgeway, S.C.  He transitioned from his earthly life to eternal rest on March 14, 2016, at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia, S.C.  He was 75.
Moses was an entrepreneur in landscaping.  He had a great passion for the Word of God and he loved to sing.  He was a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Central Christian University in 2014.  He was drafted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam.
Moses was preceded in death by his siblings Eddie Able, William Able, Jr., Elizabeth Canady and Mary A. Clinton.
He is survived by his daughter Calpurnia L. Able, sons, Moses Able, Jr. (Mozell) and Talmadge B. Able.  Three grandchildren; Shavoskia Newbold, Chakita and Faith Able and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Smith, Louise Williams (George) and Helen Wilds; aunt,  Carrie Mae Able; sister -in-laws, Hester Able and Susie Able; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
His children would like to sincerely thank their mother, Ms. Charlie Mae Able, aunt, Helen Wilds and family friend Mr. Robert Evans for the care, love and dedication shown towards their father during his illness.

Ms. Glen Lovell Roseboro, 57, was born on March 22, 1958 in Winnsboro SC. She was the beloved daughter of the late Clement Traylor and the late Walter Mae Roseboro. On March 9, 2016 (Vell) departed this earthly life at Palmetto Health Richland. Vell graduated from Winnsboro High School and later attended Benedict College on a full track and math scholarship.She is survived by one son: Duaita D. (Keisha) Roseboro of Warner Ga. One daughters: Tiffany (Edward) Myers of Lexington SC. Two Sisters: Margaret (Harold) Bowden of White Oak SC, and Donna Jackson of Winnsboro SC, and a host of loving relatives and dear friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her daughter: April D. Roseboro and a nephew: Damien Jackson.

Mrs. Carrie Inez Sims Williamson, 88

Mrs. Carrie Inell Sims Williamson, age 88, born to the late Burrell and Emma Sims, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 5, 2016 at White Oak Manor of Newberry.

She was married to the late Dennis Lee Williamson, Sr.  Mrs. Williamson was a devoted member of Little River Presbyterian Church.  She attended Fairfield County Schools.  She retired from Louis Rich in Newberry, SC in 1990.

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lee Williamson, sisters, Mamie Lawry, Martha Means, Emma L. Sims and Annie M. Middleton; brothers, Willie, Burrell, James, Young and Charlie Sims.

Cherishing fond memories are her daughter, Vernon Williamson and son, Barry Williamson (Vickie) of the home.  Through eternal rest she also leaves three granddaughters, Jasmine Kinard, Cristi Chaplin and Alaijha Williamson of the home; three grandsons, Antonio (Liz) Davis of Norfolk, VA, Demarcus Davis of Newberry, SC and Kameron Williamson of the home; two great-granddaughters, Joidyn Kinard of the home and Shealynn Trapp of Newberry, SC, one great-grandson, Jonah Davis of Norfolk, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.  We will continue to celebrate her life, cherishing precious and loving memories.

Mrs. Linda Lumpkin Belton, 59

Mrs. Linda Lumpkin Belton was born on March 1, 1956 in Winnsboro, SC.  She was beckoned into eternal rest on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Abe Eugene and Alberta Lumpkin. 
She joined Shiloh Independent Church at an early age and at the time of her passing she was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church (USA).
Linda was a graduate of Winnsboro High School.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Family Development from Benedict College and her Master of Divinity from Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary in Atlanta, GA.  She was ordained as a minister in 1995.  Linda also attended the Interdenominational Theological Center and has a Master of Arts in Christian Education Degree.
Linda was known for her loving smile and strength.  Her calm demeanor in the midst of any crisis prevailed. 
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Tallie Belton, Jr. (better known as “Babe”); one son, Mandy Belton of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Raine (Shaun) Williams of Tucker, GA; two sisters, Terry Olivera and Erica (Norman) Pete of Winnsboro, SC; four grandsons, Mandy, Jr., Jamil, Jacob and Shane—her grandchildren were the love of her life; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Belton, Essie  Brown and Kimberly Nelson all of Ridgeway, SC; one brother-in-law, Carl Belton of Charleston, SC; three aunts, Frances Freeman, Marjorie Byrd of Winnsboro, SC and Marie Jones of Seawell, NJ; two uncles, Billy and Larry Anderson of Hartford, CT and a host of special friends and loving relatives all of whom will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Rosa Mae Kelly Davis, 88

Mrs. Rosa Mae Kelly Davis, 88  of 3153 Old Chester Rd. Winnsboro SC 29180 passed away on February 18, 2016 .She was born on March 14, 1927 in Fairfield County to the late Sam and Bessie Small Kelly. On February 18, 2016, she entered into eternal rest at her home after battling a long illness. She was educated in the Fairfield County Public School System. She was married to the late Willie "Bozo" Davis and to this union they were blessed with seven children. Rosa was a homemaker for many years and helped raise twenty two children. Rosa was a life-long member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Society, the Usher Board for over 60 years, and The Humble Daughters of Zion Society. She was a lovable person who loved her family, Church family, her phone and her hats. "Granny", known by her children and grandchildren had a love for gardening, growing flowers, canning and cooking. She was famous for her chow chow pickle and sweet potato pies. Many days you could find her sitting under her oak tree for hours with the young people until her health declined. She was the backbone of the family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten. Her motto was "I'll Be Alright". She leaves to cherish her memories three daughter: Rosetta (Wade Jr.) Watson, Carolyn Davis and Margaret (Willie James) Watson. Ms. Rebecca R. "Lil" Reed, 76

Our beloved Rebecca R Reed "Lil" went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 10th, 2016 at the age of 76.
   Born May 9th, 1939 in Blythewood, SC , she was the 9th of 12 children born to Wylie and Elizabeth Robertson. She loved her childhood home so much that she resided and raised her family there until her passing. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1957 and went on to become a Mental Health Specialist III and retired from Craft Farrow State Hospital in 1997 after 30 dedicated years.
  The whole town knew "Lil" for her delicious cooking and baking. She would spend her spare time fishing and gardening. She loved quality time with her family and friends. Always venturing on trips and lighting up the town with her amazing spirit and smile, she was not only the rock for her family but also for anyone that knew her. She was always there to lift spirits and remind you to never give up.
  Rebecca is survived by her two daughters; Cynthia L. Hollis, and Donna R. Donald, her son; Michael E. Reed, whom all reside in South Carolina, her Goddaughter; Deborah Harrison of Charlotte, NC ,12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her brother; Martin Robertson of San Bernardino, CA and sister; Ermene Canzater of Blythewood, SC. She was preceded in death by her 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

Mrs. Dinnah Gracie Cooper McClain, 78

Mrs. Dinnah Grace McClain of 425 Floyd Drive of Columbia, South Carolina was born June28, 1938 in Williamsburg County, to the late Estelle and Wesley Cooper. She departed this life Tuesday February 9, 2016 at 8:40 a.m. at home peacefully.
To her family and many friends, she was called “Dinnah Grace” but affectionately she called “Pumpkin”.
Dinnah Grace was a 1957 Graduate of Tomlinson High School. She joined Trinity Baptist Church in 1975. She was a devoted member of the Pastors Aide Ministry and prior to that she served on the Missionary Ministry. Dinnah Grace has been a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 40 years. She also worked for the State of South Carolina as a youth adult counselor, mentor and a correction officer for over 40 years. Dinnah Grace loved to tailgate with her husband to SCSU football games, and playing bingo/ cards with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leroy “Roy” McClain, a loving son Wayne McClain, her loving Daughter Jeffery Portee, and loving brothers, Hugh Cooper, Sam James, and Walter Cooper

Mrs. Rhodan Pressley McCollom

Mrs. Rhodan P. McCollom, the seventh child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pressley, was born on October 27th in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. She went to be with her heavenly father and the love of her life (Claude)on Monday, February 8th, 2016.

She attended the Williamsburg County school system and at a young age,moved to Columbia, SC with her aunt and uncle where she completed her educational studies. She graduated from C.A. Johnson High School, Allen University and The University of South Carolina where she obtained a Masters of Education Degree in 1976.

After being joined in matrimony to the late Claude A. McCollom, she joined Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the finance committee, and she was chair of the hospitality committee for several years which was her absolute gift and passion.
She was also a member of the Democratic National Committee, Retired Association of Retired Clemson Extension Agents, South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, and the Quettes (wives of Omega Psi Phi).

She worked for the Clemson Extension Service for 24 years as a home economist, educating and serving the community in how to live healthier. During this time she was able to serve under privileged families and educate them on home-making skills such as cooking, sewing, and gardening. She enjoyed working with 4-H Clubs and took great pride in sharing her love of cooking with others.After retiring from Clemson Extension she obtained her Funeral Director’s license where she co-owned and operated McCollom Funeral Home with her husband.  After selling the funeral home she started planting a garden year round, sharing, canning and freezing fresh vegetables. Over the past 8 years, she has enjoyed the wonderful staff at Providence Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Center where she routinely exercised, helped with activities and fellowshipped.

She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and seven sisters.  She is the last of 13 children.

Rhodan leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Carla (Norris) Mitchell and Claudia Ward.  five grandchildren:  Cara Mitchell, Sidra Mitchell,McCollom(Mac) Mitchell, Morgan Ward and Matthew Ward and one great-grand: Kamryn Ward.two sisters-in-law, Gladys Pressley and Irene McCollom.   A host of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.

 The celebration of life services of Rhodan Pressley McCollom will be held on February 12, 2016 at Francis Burns United Methodist Church 5616 Farrow Rd Columbia SC 29203.  Viewing will begin at 10am with funeral services starting at 11am.
Burial will be in McMollom Cemetery Mead Ct.Columbia SC 29203.

Ms. Catherine V. Davis, 83

Ms. Catherine graduated from the Fairfield County School System and worked with the Fairfield County Council on Aging until her retirement. Being a compassionate advocate and caregiver, she couldn’t wait to return to work once her 90 day waiting period had expired. She loved working, her clients, and was faithfully back to work once the 90 days were up.
Born unto the late Rosa Davis Stevenson, she is preceded in death by her mother, stepfather Charlie Stevenson, sister Rosetta Stevenson Sampson, and sons Stanley Bernard Davis Sr. and Jeffrey Wayne Davis, Sr. She leaves to carry on her legacy seven children: sons William Robert Davis, Demond Jason Davis, DeJuan Mason Davis of Winnsboro, SC, and Vincent (Maggie) Davis, Sr. of Elgin, SC. The three daughters are: Susan (George) Evans and Sharon(Elroy) Jones of Winnsboro, SC and Eliza Davis of Columbia, SC. In addition to her children, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren are left to honor her memory. A host of loving relatives and friends remain, giving special praise to nieces Cathy Sampson and Georgetta Sampson  Brown acting as caregivers during her declining health.

A very special thanks is bestowed upon the Winnsboro Active Day Center of Winnsboro, SC and Caring Neighbors Home Health Agency and RN Heather Shaw for her loving care.

Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Davis Sr. 51


Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Davis Sr. 51, of son of Ms. Catherine V. Davis, was born on October 15, 1964 in Winnsboro SC. He was called from earth to be with the Lord on January 19, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Jeff accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. He attended the public schools of Fairfield County and graduated from Winnsboro High School. Upon graduation, Jeff joined the military and served his country admirably in the U.S. Navy. He returned to Winnsboro and worked at Standard Products-Plastech until its operations ceased. Jeff joined the Isola team and worked passionately until his transition to his heavenly home. He received a CDL to further his business life and worked for Dish Network home satellites as a technician. Jeff was an outgoing person who gave tirelessly of himself. He loved to grill and make home cooked meals. Surely, he will be missed by all who knew him. He had that infectious personality that just won you over.He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother: Ms.Catherine V. Davis: son: Jeffrey Davis Jr. daughter: Ebony Hemphill, (significant other) Ms. Mary Hemphill all of Winnsboro SC. Brothers: William, Dejuan, Desmond  all of Winnsboro SC, Vincent (Maggie)of Elgin SC. Mrs. Johnnie Mae Cook-Milton, 79

 Mrs. Johnnie Mae Cook- Milton 79, born June 1, 1936. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 2, 2016  at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Jack Cook and Ella Owens . She was a widow of the late Herbert Milton.

Johnnie joined Mt. Zion AME for over 50 yrs. and was faithful in attendance until her death declined her.

Johnnie was known to many as Nanny and a Mother of many. Johnnie was a confidant to all she provided a listening ear to her children, grands , nieces and nephews. She provided great wisdom and a warm meal to anyone.

Mrs. Milton was preceded in death by her son Mr. Eddie L. Milton (Winnsboro, SC) her brother the late Abraham Owens (Winnsboro, SC) and her sister the late Parnease Owens- Goins (Winnsboro, SC)

Mr. Bryan McArthur Caldwell, 31

Bryan McArthur Caldwell was born on February 11, 1984 sharing this day with his twin sister Brandy Michelle in Chester, SC. He was the son of McArthur Caldwell and Linda Nadine Padgette Caldwell.
Bryan was educated in the Fairfield County School system. He graduated from Fairfield Central High School in 2003. Bryan was employed by Belk's Distribution Center in Blythewood where he displayed exemplary job performance in the shipping department.
Bryan loved his family and supported his nieces in all their endeavors. He encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Bryan loved fishing being with friends and barbecuing. He was a big fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers.
Bryan leaves to cherish loving memories his mother Linda Nadine Caldwell, his father McArthur Caldwell, 4 sisters Atoya Caldwell of Winnsboro,SC, Miya Caldwell of Charlotte, NC, Brandy Michelle his twin of Lugoff, SC and Roshonda Thompson of Lancaster, PA. Three nieces Darnisha Woodard, Alexia Aldridge, and Ashli Crim of Winnsboro, SC. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
