Mr. Joseph "Skipper" Goins was the third child of
twelve children of the late Harlee and Willie L. Tucker Goins born on April 12,
1933. Mr. Joseph Goins departed his earthly life on Wednesday January 25, 2017
at home peacefully to join his wife Juanita Harrison Goins.
He attended Fairfield County Schools. He was self- employed as a Pulpwood/Logging businessman
for thirty odd years. He joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories one son: Melvin Goins
of Ridgeway, SC, five daughters: Shirley (Arthur)Johnson, Donna (John) Benson
of Ridgeway, SC, Maxine (Cleveland) Williams of Blythewood, SC, Diane and Tracy
Goins of Ridgeway, SC, twelve grand and nine great grands. Eleven siblings:
Lula Cunningham, Katherine Weldon both of Ridgeway, SC, Ida Ruth Murphy of
Bronx, New York, Patricia Shannon, Hattie (Lucius) Brown, Willie A. Goins,
Johnnie M. Harrison of Ridgeway, SC, Bessie (Walter) Kearney of Manhattan, New
York, Harlee (Angie) Goins jr., Lewis Goins, and Melvin (Vera) Goins of
Ridgeway, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and
friends all whom will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will
be 3:00pm Sunday January 29, 2017 @ Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the
Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 7pm Saturday January 28, 2017
