Mr. Willie Lee Able Sr. 60

Mr. Willie Able, Sr. was born August 7, 1957 in Ridgeway, South Carolina. He was the youngest son born to the Late Harry and the Late Carrie B. Able. He transitioned from life on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland Heart Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Willie was educated through public schools of Fairfield County and was a part of the Class of 1975. At an early age Willie joined Calvary Baptist Church of Ridgeway, where he served for many years as a member of the Trustee Board. As he became young man, Willie began to work alongside his brothers and father with the family landscaping and asphalt business. He would eventually become the owner of Able & Son’s Paving & Landscaping. He married his high school sweetheart, Frances (Dennie), in 1978 and settled in Ridgeway where they raised their son, Willie Jr. (PeeWee).

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Frances Smalls-Able; a son: Willie Able, Jr. two brothers: Mr. James Belton & Mr. Larry Belton. A mother-in-law: Ms. Frances McCutchen. Three sister-in-laws: Ms. Betty Able, Min. Loretta Able & Ms. Della Ashford. Four brother-in-laws: Mr. James Smalls, Jr., Mr. Johnny R. Smalls, Mr. Randy Smalls & Mr. William McCutchen, Jr.. A special aunt: Ms. Carrie Able and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Frank Able, Haskell Able, Harry Able, Jr., & Stan Able, Two special uncles: Mr. James Able, Sr. & Mr. Wesley Able, one special aunt: Mrs. Christine Able.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am (10:00 am viewing) Friday August 25, 2017 @ Calvary Baptist Church Ridgeway SC 29130. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday August 24, 2017 @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
