Miss Gloria Jean Jeter 46 was born on February 11, 1971 in
Columbia Hospital to John B. and Sallie Penn Jeter. She departed this earthly
life on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland at the young age
of 46 years old.
She was educated in the Fairfield County School District and a
graduate of Fairfield Central High School Class of 1989.
She was a member of
Mt. Zion AME Church. She was a devoted member of the youth department and was a
1988 Debutant at the youth AME Debutante Ball. She was a volunteer of the Red
Cross at Patient Registry and a graduate of Columbia Junior College.
She was
affectionately known to her family as “Glo”. She was a loving daughter, sister,
auntie and loving friend. She loved traveling and spending time with family.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her parents John B. and Sallie P. Jeter;
two sisters, Raynette J. (Dennis) Yarborough and Brenda J. (Bradley) Canzater,
Nieces; Eunice Jeter, Erica and Cierra Canzater, nephews; Dexter (Brenda)
Yarborough, Marcus and Daniel Yarborough, great niece; Alexis Yarborough, great
nephew; Dexter Yaborough Jr. all residing in Winnsboro SC and a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded
in death by her brother John “Ant” Jeter.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm (1:00pm viewing) Thursday November 2, 2017 @ Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church, 11121 Monticello Rd Winnsboro SC 29180 with burial in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 1, 2017 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro SC 29180.
