  1. Going Home
    A Poem For Joseph Harper
    By Sharon O'Neill

It’s been a long road but I’m going home,
Going to see the light of my Father’s throne
I will enter into His love and care,
They will all know me when I get there

    Going home, I’m going home
See the shining light of my Father’s throne
I’m going home, I’m going home
To the loving place where I belong

Mother Mary, birthed the Son of Man,
Blessed Queen to all in the Holy Land
The Lord, redeemer, sits at His right hand
Saved me from the life of forever damned

Praise the Lord, through His blood I’m saved
I do not fear death or the lowly grave,
And as I kneel at the throne of grace,
I will gaze upon His immortal face

My faith did seal me as a child of God,
Even though by sin I was surely flawed
There’s no more pain, no toil and strife,
    I am now set free from this mortal life;

A life eternal is a blessed thing,
When you live with God, our most gracious king,
Thank you Father, I will reign with thee,
I’m so grateful that You have rescued me!

    Going home, I’m going home
See the shining light of my Father’s throne
I’m going home, I’m going home
To the loving place where I belong
